Island Lodge is rated 4 star self catering accommodation by Enjoy England. It is brand new, purpose built accommodation situated above cart lodge style garages. Ardleigh is a small village with pubs & shops and on main bus routes to Manningtree, Dedham & Colchester. It is in a nice rural setting with beautiful views over fields all around. It is totally separate from the main house and has it's own driveway & garden. It would appeal to cyclists, ramblers and artists.

Location : From Colchester we are just off the A137. From the crossroads at Ardleigh village (pub & church here), turn left into The Street which very soon becomes Dedham Road. Island Lodge is about 300 yards from the crossroads. The 103 & 104 bus passes along the A137 which goes to Colchester in one direction and Manningtree in the other. The bathroom is light and spacious with all new fittings. There is a shower over the bath and good quality towels. The bedroom is again, light and spacious with wooden flooring and rugs. There are twin beds with all linen and towels provided. A double wardrobe, chest of drawers and two bedside cabinets with table lamps on each.

The open plan living/kitchen is light and airy, with wooden flooring and a large rug. There is a leather sofa bed for 2 extra people, if required. There is a TV and DVD player, both with remote controls, and a table with table lamp for softer lighting.

The kitchen area is well equipped with oven, hob and extractor, fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster and all matching white tableware and stainless steel pans. There is a breakfast bar with 2 bar stools. It is all new and easy to clean.

Prices: £55/£60 per night and £250/£400 per week.
